Monkey-Bay branch monitoring and book rotation visit to Mvunguti Community (Apatsa Primary School)

Today, the Monkey Bay NLS team conducted a successful monitoring and book rotation visit to Mvunguti Community (Apatsa Primary School) under the Community Reading Award (CRA) project supported by Book Aid International.

We reviewed the book loan registers and reading session logs, and we are pleased to report excellent progress — learners and community members are actively borrowing and engaging with the books. It is encouraging to see a growing reading culture taking shape.

During this visit, we also delivered over 160 locally purchased books, including materials for primary learners, to further strengthen access to relevant and culturally appropriate reading resources.

This initiative continues to demonstrate the impact of community-based library services in improving literacy and access to information.
